The following benefits are to be paid to the New Jersey Carpenters Funds, Raritan Plaza II, P.O. Box 7818, Edison, NJ 08818-7818. You must submit all monies with a completed NJCF benefit form, if you need forms call (800) 624-3096. The following is the required breakdown:
Employer Contributed
Welfare: 20% (twenty percent) of the gross wages
Retirement Program: 28% (twenty eight percent of the gross wages)
Apprentice Training Fund: 1.5% (one and a half percent) of the gross wages
UBCJA/BCA: 23 cents per hour for the Labor Management Cooperative
L/M Cooperative: 11 cents per hour for the Labor Management Cooperative
Deducted from Employees Pay and Remitted with Above
Vacation: 5% (five percent) of the gross wages
Dues Check-Off: 4% (four percent) of the gross wages
Market Recovery Program: 10 cents per hour
The total package is 58.75% of the gross wages paid.
49.75% plus 34 cents per hour is contributed by the employer.
9% is contributed by the employee (deduct this portion from the employees' pay).
This is an eight (8) hour area with one and one-half (1 1/2 times) the rate for overtime Monday through Saturday. Two (2) time the regular rate for Sundays and Holidays.
The total package, the toal contractor cost per hour for a Journeyman Carpenter is $59.07 ($0.34 UBCJA/BCA is not included)
